You keep your notes in too many places
Our Epson projector died and the manufacturer sent a replacement. I complained to my wife last night that I’d need to re-tweak the new one, and that I didn’t know what all the customized picture settings were on the old unit. She asked if I’d kept notes of the old settings and I said I probably had, but didn’t know where those were. She said, “It’s because you keep your notes in too many places.” And THAT sliced through a lot of years of over-thinking and over-engineering of note collections. Not that I’ll necessarily actually change anything, but boy did I feel the wisdom.
